Brandy Sauce Makes 1pt/600ml 386 cals/0.9g fat 1. Take 1pt/600ml skimmed milk. Reserve 4 tbsp and heat remainder with 3 drops almond essence until almost boiling. Remove from heat. 2. Mix 2 tbsp cornflour an remaining cold milk, and slowly pour into the hot milk, stirring continuously until mixture begins to thicken. Return to heat and bring to the boil. Contineu to cook, stirring all the time. If consistency is too thin, add some more cornflour mixed with cold milk. Sweeten to taste with liquid artificial sweetener. 3. Add 3 tbsp brandy, a few drops at a time, and stir well. Place in a serving jug and keep warm until ready to serve.
